Rest in peace.
Forever ten, forever loved, forever in our hearts. Our darling Grace took her final breath 29th May at home surrounded by her loving family.
Grace Kenneally, from Galway City, lost her battle with the rare children's cancer, Neuroblastoma, at just 10 years old. She was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma when she was just 5 years old, so had been seriously ill for half of her life. Grace attended Gaelscoil Dara, but missed lots of schooling due to ongoing cancer treatments.
Children with this ugly illness, Neuroblastoma, have a 4% chance of survival here in Ireland.
The Saving Grace Trust was set up in June 2014 to fundraise to raise vital funds for Grace, and her associated medical treatments, as well as future medical expenses needed to combat the awful side effects of chemotherapy.
There is no central fund available in Ireland for Neuroblastoma.
We were too late to save sweet Grace, but we do hope that we have raised some awareness along the way and that less children will die from this dreaded cancer.
